Great website for nassau county residents or 'want to be' nassau residents

It gives you the new assessment of all the homes that have been reassessed in Nassau County - the appraised value. Also, some specs including square footage and a picture!

Great for checking out what your property is appraised for and also REALLY great when you see a listing and want to see information and a picture of the house that you are interested in. Rob and I use it often.

It's sad that you see what the house has been appraised for and what the asking price is and the MAJOR difference between the two.
We are not paying that much over the appraised value of the house we are buying ... so, I think we did ok!

Check it out - it's fun and really useful!

You just go to the site .. click on Property Search and then type in the address! It shouldn't exclude you! Try it again!

YEAH, our house is there. We bought it in late 2000, and it already is appraised and assessed for more than we paid :)

Before this site came up, my hubby and I went to fight our reassessment because we felt the appraised/assessed value was way more than our house is worth (or even what we paid for it 2 years ago). We thought if we could sell it and get that kind of money for it, it would've been on the market a long time ago!!

We are happy we bought when we did. Our taxes are still relatively good, so we have no complaints!!
