Re: Green Tea Question ?
I drink green hot tea in the morning. I have no idea what brand it is I usually buy whatever is on sale. I think the cold tea drinks kind of lose the healthyness factors when you add in all the sugar and artificial flavors. i could be wrong though I just make blanket statements without any research.

Re: Green Tea Question ?
I am a coffee addict but have started swapping out my afternoon cup for a cup of Salada Green Tea Chai...i mix it with some Fat Free French Vanilla coffee creamer & it makes a nice chai latte similar to the Starbucks version...there are many kinds of green tea out there...my Tae Kwon Do master is always telling us we should drink it...it's got so many benefits!

It's actually quite nice iced. I don't add sugar to either hot or iced, just like the simple flavor of the green tea.
I have no particular brand favorites, but when I can get the Japanese matcha tea, I buy that.
Brewing instructions for loose tea : Generally, 2.25 grams of tea per 6 ounces of water, or about one teaspoon of green tea per cup, should be used. With very high quality teas like gyokuro, more than this amount of leaf is used, and the leaf is steeped multiple times for short durations.
Green tea brewing time and temperature varies with individual teas. The hottest brewing temperatures are 180°F to 190°F (82°C to 88°C) water and the longest steeping times 2 to 3 minutes. The coolest brewing temperatures are 140°F to 150°F (60°C to 66°C) and the shortest times about 30 seconds. In general, lower quality green teas are steeped hotter and longer, while higher quality teas are steeped cooler and shorter. Steeping green tea too hot or too long will result in a bitter, astringent brew. High quality green teas can and usually are steeped multiple times; 2 or 3 steepings is typical.

Re: Green Tea Question ?
I've heard they sell green tea pills rather than drinking it to get the antioxidants but I never tried it. I like green tea but I haven't had it in so long! I usually drink black tea or some type of flavored tea (I like Lipton).

Re: Green Tea Question ?
I just read that article. I drink tea alot. I go back and forth between green and black. I add lemon and splenda and sometimes honey. I have to doctor it up b/c I don't like the natural flavor of tea, but I like hot drinks.

Re: Green Tea Question ?
I love green tea and I drink it just about every day. I don't like the taste of it plain, but there are so many different brands make it in different flavors, that you will probably be able to find something you like. My favorites are Bigelow Green Tea with Pomegranate - Bigelow makes it in a lot of different flavors. And I really like Salada Green Tea with Red Antioxidants. It's fruit flavored, and has extra vitamins and antioxidants added to it. If I only have plain green tea, then I just add honey to it and it tastes okay.
