GRRRR! So annoyed!

So my awesome leopard maxi dress from Macy's? Yeah, NEVER GOT IT. I was waiting on the order and decided to check the tracking because I was getting thirsty. This was 2 weeks after I ordered it. It says it cannot ship because there's no company name, which I *know* I put in since it's one of my 'saved addresses'. I call UPS to see if I can add the company name or find out the next step. They tell me if you don't pick it up by 5 PM THAT night it will be returned to Macy's and they will have to ship it back to you. Fine. Stupid, but fine. I work until 5, there's no way I can head out to LIC and pick it up. I call Macy's and they assure me they'll ship it back for free- COOL! A week later, I get an e-mail saying my return is being processed! Are you kidding me? So I called them and told them I DO NOT want to return this, I want the dress, send it back, I will pay for shipping again if I have to. They assure me again they will send it back for free. The woman even assured me she would personally see to it that this order was handled properly. This was a week ago. I call again today and the return was processed and the dress is now sold out and I'm SOL.

I know it's a stupid dress, but I'm so cranky anyway. I'm having such an awful week. It's just like the cherry on top.

Something similar happened to me a while ago with Macy's, I was waiting for a dress, and after 2 weeks, I called with the order confirmation, and they said the size was not in stock, and I was kind of angry I had no email telling me this. Then why was I able to see the size in the drop down when I ordered?

I checked my spam folder and everything I could think of to see if I missed the email, nothing.

Awwww JILL!!!! That kind of stuff is SO ridiculously frustrating and annoying! I totally can only imagine how you feel!

More importantly, it sounds like you're having a crap week in general so hang in there

The same thing happened to me last year right before I got married. I had ordered a whole bunch of things from Macys for my HM. Somehow it didnt get to me and was sent back. When i asked them to resend it they said they had processed it as a return and they were sold out of half the stuff I wanted.

I was so mad- I needed to go and find other things to bring with me like 3 weeks before my trip.

I did the same!! I think that's what pissed me off the most. I would've gone down to pick it up if I knew I had to! They had my cell number and e-mail address and NO notification.

Thanks everyone- I've been working 10 hour days for 2 weeks straight now and I think I'm just burnt out. Fortunately I have Ireland to look forward to in 2 weeks! Thanks for the hugs though!

And yay- I'm going to go look- I need a maxi dress for Jamaica!

i would try to get some type of compensation out of this situation. a gift card, free shipping on your next order, something for their error ya know!

Yeah, I was just so annoyed. I demanded they refund my original shipping and they did so I just said thanks and hung up.
