Did anyone do the guest plate/platter instead of the guest book? I know I've seen it on here but couldn't find the thread when I searched. Sonicstef - was it yours maybe? Just wanted to know where you bought it and more importantly, how and where you displayed it. Did you leave a little instruction card? Did guests sign during cocktail hour? Thanks so much for your help!

I did a plate at my RD - it was signed by about 20 of our closest friends and family. I painted it at one of those do it yourself pottery places, and then had everyone sign it at the dinner, I am STILL waiting to have time to go back and have it 're-fired' so that the signatures become permanent.

I am not a newlywed yet but...I am doing the guest platter. I got it from the Painted Pot in Brooklyn 718-491-6411. I made a little sign to put next to it in a frame..it says 'Before you start to chatter, please take a moment to sign our platter'.
