Had Our First Dinner Party

Since we've been married over a year now I invited my parents and my IL's over for dinner tonight.
I'm glad we finally got to use our china, but I am SO EXHAUSTED! Being that both sides of the family are great cooks, I was intimidated by having to cook for them. But I think I impressed them...on the menu was:

Appetizer: cheese & pepperoni slices with Italian bread & dipping oil

Salad: Poached pears and mixed salad greens with pecans, blue cheese crumbles and raspberry-pomegranate vinaigrette

Main Course: Cider Braised Pork Chops (a Williams-Sonoma recipe)...it's awesome, has apples and onions, it's spicy and sweet at the same time

Dessert: they brought some desserts like cannoli's and cheesecake, I put out some red & green grapes, plus coffee

Sounds like a fun night! And the menu looks delicious, I can't wait until we are out of our tiny apartment so we can have our families over at the same time!

Thats awesome! I plan on having my in-laws over for dinner next weekend and im a little intimidated to cook. DH said we should order pizza but I feel like they should get a cooked meal for coming over the 1st time...i dont know...but your menu sounds delicious !!
