Had THE worst flight today...

Had THE worst flight today...

SO DH, in laws and my Mom all went to Myrtle Beach since the 19th and returned today. OMFG did we have the scariest return flight ever.

Plane started descending and all of a sudden MASSIVE turbulence occurred and literally I thought we were going to crash. I was SO scared. I am a very nervous flyer and have to drink wine at 8AM so I can get my asss on a plane. SO it's easy for me to freak out. I was cursing so loud because I was pertified. People were laughing, lol. There were also people screaming on the flight because of how the plane was going sideways and you felt like weird bumps and it started to drop rather quickly. LOL, when we finally landed, we were walking out and I asked the stwardess 'where's the pilot? I want to pinch him.' LOL, she said 'Me too.' I mean everyone was so fricken scared.

I am SO happy to be home. I am NOT flying for a VERY long time.

I'm glad you're back!!

DH and I were on a flight like that last summer coming back from Curacao.

It was out of control turbulent for well over an hour. We were flying over hurricanes.

I was in bad shape!!!

BUT-now when I'm going to fly ANYWHERE I take a xanax and it helps tremendously. I mean, I'm still a nervous flyer-but it takes away that paralyzing fear that runs through you.

Its funny, our apartment is right by JFK, and we see planes all day and night taking off and landing. Its the one thing that has helped with my fear of flying.

But turbulence blows. I'm with you!

Ugh this happened to me too flying back from FL during a Nor'Easter. I cried the whole way home from the airport.

glad you are home safe!!

that happened to us on our way to our honeymoon...
pilot came over the loudspeaker to announce we were going thru a tropical storm and there might be some turbulence...30 mins later, nothing, so everyone just thought we went around it...

all of a sudden we dropped soo bad, people were screaming i looked at DH like we were going to die...it only lasted a few seconds! but after it was over, pilot came on again and was like sorry that came out of nowhere...like it was funny!!!

See, everyone always told me stories about this. Never thought it would be that bad. But damn, it was!

I think I am doing the whole Xanax thing, Jen. I am so nervous. The few days before a flight, I get really sick. Like stomach aches and difficulty breathing. It's HORRIBLE anxiety. I love to travel so I def need to do something to ease the anxiety.

Glad you are okay! Yikes. how frightening

I never used to be nervous on flights and now I am. . and I fly literally every week or every other for work. . it was the WORST right before I got married. . like I kept thinking I AM NOT GOING TO DIE BEFORE I GET MARRIED. .like it just seemed I was so close to total happiness something had to go wrong. . luckily it didn't !! and now I just always try to picture a perfect landing and being back with my DH when i get nervous. . . visualizing safe landings

Yuck, I have had some horrible flights. Luckily I am a veteran flyer. I once threw up all the way to France... it was so bad.

Honestly you just have to remember more people die in car crashes... though on a flight like that it doesn't feel comforting.
