So, I have not had my hair cut since after the honeymoon.
DH wants my hair long but I have very thin, thinning (on top) hair. How should I cut my hair so I can continue to grow it?
DH also wants my hair red and blonde.....is that even possible?

Can you post a pic of your current hair length so we can get an idea.

Re: Hair Cut and Color
When I want a change in my hair, I bring things to my stylist and ask what will work. I have a lot of trust and faith in my stylist and when I go to him just say, 'I want blonde hair' or 'do what you want with the cut'and I have always been thrilled with it. I think if you trust your stylist enough talk to him or her. Maybe a strawberry blonde for you? I can't tell with pics against your skin tone. Your stylist should be able to tell you what colors would go great with your complexion. My mom has very thinning hair and had a great spiky type hair do. (Granted it was spiky because her hair grew back from her chemo.) Not sure if you would want to go that short. Pics of her dos are in my shower pics and wedding pics in my albums. Hope that helps!

Re: Hair Cut and Color
I have very thin hair and I am losing it more and more. (Mostly b/c of all the bleaching I had done to it *on the scalp!!!* when I was younger).
If you have really thin hair, you want to stay away from longer hair. I always put long layers in my hair and that seems to help. I always cut it once it gets past my collar bone. I also recently had it cut, and she used a razor to cut it, that helps with giving the hair body as well.
If you want your hair red and blonde, you can do what I did. I recently had highlights put in, they have some copper/reddish tones to them and then I have the blonde highlights also. I think that could give you the best of both worlds :)

I'm sorry I do not have any pics of my hair at the length it is now. It is just about down to my collar bone.
Thanks for the suggestions!!!

Re: Hair Cut and Color
Red and blonde is definitely possible I've had my hair this color for a while. Check out my albums to see the color. To keep it healthy sometimes in the winter I will go all red or just leave a little highlights in.

What about a medium brown with blond highlights? I think that will cause some depth adn give the illusion of thicker hair.
