hair help!

So I have SUPER THICK hair (like the thickest hair ever!), and it's curly. It's an annoying curl. Sometimes it would be PERFECT and beautiful, sometimes just a HUGE frizz ball fro!

I'm lazy with hair, and my hair needs to have a long time spent on it to look good. So in 2007 I started getting the Japanese Hair Straightening. It was PERFECT for me. Get out of the shower and it dries pin straight - no work or effort. It was amazing. I got it 3 times, last time like Oct/Nov 2009.

I'm sick of it now and miss my curly hair so much. It's at a weird stage right now...the top part is getting curly and frizzy, and the bottom is still pin straight. I usually put it half up or all up now when I dont have the patience to straighten it all.

I've been thinking of getting a spiral perm so I can finally have all curly hair again. Thoughts??? Do people even do perms anymore? My sister did the JHS once in 2007 with me. Hated it and got a spiral perm shortly after. It looks good. Her hair is back to normal. Thoughts?

Re: hair help!

noooooo!!!! dont do spiral curl. its a ***** if you ever want it out of your hair. and the curls are very tight and tiny .. I would suggest a body wave cause that will help the curl and its not so permanent and wont be hard to straighten if you ever want it straight a day!!!

but my hair is naturally curly? do you think that will make a difference? like eventually it wont be as tight and will go back to my normal curly hair, or no?

I gotta check out the body wave...I just want more than a wave. I want to be able to put gel in my hair and it'll be curly like it was pre Japanese Hair Straightening. grrrr

I dont think spiral curl and your regular curl would be the same thing!!! Spiral is very tight and a pain in da *** to get out if you dont like it.. trust me ive gotten one before.. I prefer the body wave cause it adds body to your hair and that will help the natural curl that your hair will have.. Just a heads up though.. if you have done japanese straightening im not sure if your hair will take a curl or not.. I would double check with your hairdresser

Thanks so much! My hair definitely takes a curl. I curled it for the wedding and for other events. And it's been over a year since I had the last one. Im going to call and see about a body wave. Does anyone have pics of their hair with a body wave?

I need to do something. This half curly/half straight hair is KILLING me! hahahah
