Re: hair irons?
I just spoke to someone at Vidal Sassoon about hot irons . She recommended 'GHD' irons and said that the stylist there like GHD so much that all of the Vidal salons are switching to GHD hot irons. They are really expensive but she claims they're worth it.
I use a cheap Vidal Sassoon iron that I got at the drugstore for about $30. I don't use it often but I think it works pretty well.

Re: hair irons?
Is this your first time getting japanese straightening done? if so. when yourhair grows in because the hair on the bottom is straight, it will weigh down your roots. i have very thick curly hair and i never ironed my roots once.

uugggh i HATE hot tools. my old iron completely fried my hair and it would pull it too. SO not a fan..but i also have rather thin color treated hair - so that could be why. i spent the money on a good ionic one. made a HUGE difference and my hair doesn't look singed anymore lol..
My friend has very thick curly hair after she used my straightner she went to sephora and bought it. It really is the best.

no i've been getting it done for 6 yrs now... i used not bother.. but after baout 5 months the roots are long enough that it does curl up and definitely needs ironing.. i usually will just wear a ponytail until i get it done again.. but i'm trying not to do that haha..

Re: hair irons?
I love my CHI & so does everyone who borrows it. My hairdresser told me to NEVER buy the one with the thermostat, mine just has an on/off switch. It's AWESOME

Re: hair irons?
I just bought the Chi wet to dry iron yesterday at my salon (got it for $99 on sale, when it is a $200 iron!!). They used it on me the morning of my wedding and I've been wanting it ever since.
