hair & makeup on your wedding day...

OK girls, my ceremony is at 10:30 am. The church is 4 blocks from my house. I scheduled a hair appt for 8am. What time do I tell the makeup artist to come? (Or is she supposed to do it after hair?)

depends on how long it will take to do yor hair.
I had my hair appointment at 11am, and my make-up artist came t 12 noon. I live 4 blocks from my hairdresser

are you the only one that they are making up?

if there are other people, I would have make-up come at the same time...I actually shifted backa nd forth btw hair and makeup...

if you are the only one...then ask the make up woman what she thinks...latest 9 though

Is the hair person coming to your house? If so, then I would find out exactly how long they think it will take to do your hair.

If you have time, I would do hair first and then makeup (all the spray you don't want on your face). If they worry about the veil, my makeup artist put a plastic garbage bag on my head while she did my makeup!!

Make-up, I think, is supposed to be after hair. I would try to schedule your hair a little bit earlier than 8am - Maybe 7:30 or so. Make-up can take a good 20 minutes.

Hair goes first, then makeup. But IMO 8am to late to begin. You have to get your hair done, makeup, get dressed, take photos before you leave and then get to the church. You should be starting much earlier IMO, unless your hair is very short or super simply.
