Hair/makeup recommendations needed from the newlyweds.

Hi girls,

I'm sorry I'm barging in on the newlywed side of the board, but I'm hoping you can help me. My wedding is in 3 months (April 25) and I still don't have a hair or makeup person. I have contacted JN for makeup and she is booked, as well as fairytale. I'm not sure who to go to for hair either. I'm in the East Meadow area (Nassau), I would like someone to come to the house but I am not against going to a salon. Please, can you fm me with any information on makeup/hair recommendations you may have? Or you can post the info here. Thank you so much. I'm really starting to worry now being there isn't much time left.

The people who did my hair and makeup are not affiliated with a salon. They both work freelance, and will come to your home with all the equipment they need on the day of your wedding. I would highly recommend both of them, I was very pleased with their work. (Plus they are super nice, which is very important when you are all nervous the day of!!!)

I used Jillian from Gorgeous Faces (advertises on this site) for makeup. She is great, and she will come to you.

I used Melanie from the Chanel counter at Smithhaven Mall MAcys. I too was stuck close to my wedding and everyone was booked and I found her. Thank Goodness. The trial is free and she comes to your house. Not only does she do a good job, but she is such a sweet person.

I used Jackie from Imakeupyou - she was excellent and she came to my house. She works with a woman Margaret from Hair Phases in Massapequa and she came to the house too. They were both wonderful. Their prices are reasonable too. Give them a call. Jackie advertises on the board. Good luck!!
