Halloween Annoyances
I hope I don't offend anyone here with this post but this is what I hate about giving to trick or treaters...-I say you can take any two pieces of candy of your choice... and the trick or treaters take handfuls or say well I'm going to take three...
-I have had two large groups of teenagers... all of whom were NOT in costume (all in jeans and hoodies and using their bookbags to get candy). now, because of all the people taking handfuls of candy I started to give it out myself... and these old kids who are old enough to buy their own candy and didn't even dress up have the nerve to say to me.... nooo not the milky way bars... anything but those....
-Parents who leave their infants in the strollers down by the street and come alone to the door and take for themselves on top of the infant who can't even eat yet!! At least bring them to the door!!!
-When groups of older kids, also not in costume, come to the door twice acting like I wouldn't know they've already come and they even say... OH... have I been here before?? Nope.. i haven't!!
-When a mother is sticking her hand through the entire bowl for 10 minutes as she is saying... hmmm what can she eat???? about her one year old daughter... in a rude way as if there was nothing good enough for them. I have EIGHT different kinds of candy choices!! 8!!!

Some boy said 'where's my candy at?' ... I guess that's his version of trick or treat!I have gone through at least 100 pieces of candy already and it's only 5:45!! I didn't even get home until 3:00 on the dot... so that is less than three hours.

We were at FILS all day watching football and I was handing out the candy and I don't have any complaints this year. They were all nice and polite. We were watching the Jets so I had all my Jets gear on and this one kid said the Jets suckk. I told him to give me my candy back then.

Re: Halloween Annoyances
DH was on candy duty today while I worked and he didn't have TOO many complaints, but my mother called me earlier to tell me a story... A guy came to the door who had to be at least 20 years old and she goes 'Aren't you a little old to be trick or treating?' and he goes 'Yo I'm Jersey Shore!' ... and that's it.
I was laughing so hard, I was like 'w*t*f is wrong with people today??' meanwhile she was calling him a little assh0le lol.

Re: Halloween Annoyances
I hate all those things too.Luckily we only had little cute kid trick or treaters. Although I think this Halloween also taught me not to take my kid out before 3 or 4 depending on what I think they can handle. A bunch of kids came who were too afraid to talk to us (ie. we're strangers and now you're telling them it's ok to ask us for candy?
) or didn't know what they were doing. I think a kid needs to know what trick or treating is before you take them otherwise what's the point?

I used to go with friends who looked young in college or my little cousins because I still barely look 20 and I'm 25 so back then I could get away with being a freshman or something in high school. When I was 20ish I actually had someone ask me if I was in band class with his son.
And my cousin, who is 10 years younger than me, was mistaken for my twin (I think those people were on crack because we look nothing alike). BUT I still always dressed up in a costume.

I hate trick or treaters. There I said it!!!!
It's not the fact that they're kids. I like kids. I just don't like rude candy mongering doorbell ringing annoying kids!! Thank GOD I was asked to pick up that shift at work or I would have been home dealing with them! Luckily I was at work. And DH had to deal with the little buggers. hahahaa

I took one of our FGs trick or treating and made sure she said Trick or Treat and Thank You at every house and wouldn't let her take more than one piece unless they told her to!

Re: Halloween Annoyances
I hate when they don't say trick or treat... come on! I just spent a bajillion dollars on GOOD candy the least you can do is hold up your end of the deal! Also when kids don't have costumes... I told 3 or 4 teenagers they weren't even trying. DH was pretty sure they were going to come back and egg our house but I didn't care. At least get dressed up as a bum! Dad's old flannel shirt, old sweats and some black makeup smudged on your face... it's an effort.
Kids who take FOREVVERRRRRR picking out their candy... it's CANDY not your future spouse, if you don't like it you can trade with your sister later.
