Hi all....DH & I want to get away for a few days and I thought about going to the Hamptons. I've never been there so I'm clueless as to where to go, stay, etc. Any suggestions on trendy, hip hotels to stay at and places to eat and go out afterwards? Also, are the Hamptons busy on Wednesday, Thursday nights? We were thinking of heading out there a little early in the week.....

The trendy hip hotels are VERY pricey... most motels are about 200 a night and will only take you for the whole wknd..
I have a house in the hamptons, I can definitely help you with places to go & see... I'll actually be there next weekend for memorial day.

It's great there midweek...Shelter Island and Montauk are both really nice.
