haha...i have created a few websites in my time, including my own and am pretty good with DW...but i know...freakin all the GD jobs now want you to be able to freakin do everything from print to animation....when i went to school we didn't HAVE webdesign!!! hahaha...maybe you & i should team up and start our own bride design studio!!!!

Yea, I have NO DESIRE whatsoever to do CG or webdesign... I rrrreally like print. And do not wish to further my knowledge.

yea it's pretty pathetic... maybe one day I'll actually pick up my books and start learning it

Hey Im a GD tooo!!! And I'm with Rosella on this one .. Im a printing type of gal!! Dont like the programming/CG stuff (and I got a BFA in CG!! LOL)

I'm glad theres some others out there with us

I work at a printing company and we catch these mistakes on press when theres an order for 3 MILLION... so I know it ***** sometimes but I'd rather deal with this than web cr@p!!!!!!

Print design completely confuses me. I can't be bothered to figure out what DPI an image is. As long as it looks good on the screen then it's fine with me. I guess everyone has their niche.

Yeah...i think it's easier to go from a print b/g to web...but DPI is still important in web because you don't want to upload a 300dpi on a website or it'll take forever to load! (and people could steal your image) Optimization is your friend!! haha

Very true. I generally work with Fireworks which is made specifically for web images.

BTW - I wonder how many other people have read this post and wondered what kind of foreign language we were speaking?

haha...well we could really make them wonder by throwing out a few terms like CMYK, RGB, PMS (no-not the monthly kind)..haha
yeah for the graphics geeks!
