When it comes to home improvement your hubby is A. Tim the tool man, (makes the job worse)
B. Bob the builder, (forever starting new projects without completing the old)
C. AL, (does it right the first time)
D. Clueless

Re: Handy Man Question!
My hubby = D. Clueless
He tried to help my mom fix a bar in her closet and we 'thought' he did, until 2 days later it totally fell and all her clothes were on the floor. Since then he doesn't even attempt, we just call in the professionals.

Re: Handy Man Question!
C. DH is pretty good at getting the job done. He doesn't go around looking for projects, but if something needs to be done...he is real good.

Re: Handy Man Question!
Luckily, he's verry handy. I've already heard the whole 'when we have a house - im doing everything...' But it's a mixture of B&C. He'll do a good job with whatever he does, you just gotta give him a few pushes to do it.

Re: Handy Man Question!
D - clueless
It took the man an hour and a half to hang a picture!!!
I feel so bad too because I actually am very handy and sometimes DH's ego takes a bruising.
He tries though - he just doesn't know how to do anything.

Re: Handy Man Question!
I would go with C… he’s been pretty good at doing things around the house but he still needs some help from his dad on things.

Re: Handy Man Question!
Totally A ... He breaks everything he tries to fix.. For example:
We have 100 holes in our wall from him not knowing how to precisely measure blinds lol
We have more holes in our bathroom from him not putting things up leveled
He tried making numerous outlet plates tighter around the house and in the process cracked like 3 of em from screwing them in just a tadd too hard
Hes a disaster... Whatever he tries to fix, he makes worse...

Re: Handy Man Question!
Im not really sure actually! he wants to be AL and do it right and become this awesome handyman, but he has no clue half the time...sometimes he will do a good job depending on what it is.
i know its wrong to, but i get soo nervous when he attempts to do something because ive become so relaiable on my dad! my dad is soo mr. fix it and does everything so instead of letting him attempt to fix something im always like...lets wait for my dad!
i want my dad to teach him so he doesnt just do things half assed! but he thinks he can do anything including build a mailbox that looks like our house???!!! LOL

OMGGG My dad is mr fix it too... We've been calling him over for some of the more major jobs and he tries teaching DH, but DH gets sooo down on himself bc he doesnt know what hes doing... I keep telling him we have to learn together and by no time we'll be pros... I said we just have to jump into these jobs, make mistakes, yell at one another, and find a solution

Re: Handy Man Question!
My guy is either C or D. He varies and fluctuates between the 2. Mostly clueless but he's really great at some things... and he actually just hung my closet rod and it's still up!!!!

Re: Handy Man Question!
Well since he is a carpenter by trade, I will say VERY FREAKING HANDY! Now he's in commercial welding, but he is great at carpentry and everything related to it! He's even pretty good with tiling and laying floors.

Re: Handy Man Question!
Well seeing that I am a full on Al I would have to say DH is too. I would never have been able to marry someone who isn't as handy as I am.
We redid almost our entire house ourselves.....I even did the wood floors myself.
