Has anyone been to Cape May?

Has anyone been to Cape May?

Due to us buying a home - we really don't have any extra money to spend on our 1st Anniversary however, I don't want to just let the occasion come and go.
I was looking on some Cape May websites and it looks really beautiful and romantic - has anyone been there? If so, what did you think and where did you stay. Is it very expensive?

I went there for the day a few years ago. I remember it being very quaint with lots of cute shops, restaurants, and bed and breakfasts. Charming! : )

I dont remember the name of the B&B we stayed in - sorry. But there are tons of cute victorian B&Bs. I dont remember it being very expensive.

I grew up going to Cape May

You will love Cape May ! I grew up in South Jersey -- and we spent summers down the shore ! Cape May is wonderful and very romantic -- Stay in a Bed and Breakfast if you can -- you can also take a horse and carriage ride along the colonial streets. My parents still go there for their anniversary ! Enjoy!

I took my hubby there for Memorial day (& his b-day) 2 years ago. It poured the whole weekend, but we had a wonderful time just relaxing. There are cute stores, restaraunts, and inns and if you luck out with weather...the beach. It was very romantic and we enjoyed the relaxation...long strolls and nice dinners! It`s definitely not the place to go if you want a lot more action or nightlife, although, Atlantic City isn`t too far away if you get bored. I can`t remember the name of the place we stayed...a small Inn. I`ll look and post again if I find it.

We go every year(except last year because of the wedding)Any of the B&B's are great--they are on the expensive side but the whole town is great--if you decide to go let me know and i can give you some great restaurants--one of my favorite italian restaurants is down there
