while buying a house ??? I really want to find a new job ...just I am worried that our chances on paying and getting a mortgage will be ruined if I quit before ...but the stress of my job the people etc.. is just out of control I feel like i am going crazy everytime i step foot in the office ..please give me your advice

My DH actually was 3 months after we bought our house. It was tough, but he collected unemployment and we had a savings. We didn't use our total savings on the down payment. The thing I would worry about is when you go for a mortgage, you may not be approved if you are unemployed. I know some banks call your place of employment the day before the closing to make sure you are still working and making the money you claim to in order to pay your mortgage. HTH and GL.

As a new homeowner, I would definetly advise you AGAINST quitting your job before you have a new one. There are soo many other expenses that come along w/ buying and owning a house that we dont think of or realize before the fact. You don't want to put yourself in a situation where your starting out struggling. Especially since things are so expensive now and with this recession, you may not find a job right away.
In the meantime, put your resume out there and actively search for something new.
