Re: hate my wedding gown
i feel exactly the same way!there's no point in preserving it .... it's not like my future daughter will want to wear it on her wedding ... and i'm Jewish so i won't be cutting it up to make a christening dress or whatnot for my child ....
i'm going to eventually sell it ... but not yet, i'm too lazy lol

Re: hate my wedding gown
I'd say have it cleaned and sell it. Or you might be able to donate it somewhere.Mine is in our back room and gets thrown around to find stuff that's hidden behind it. Going to attempt to take it to get cleaned and preserved this weekend.

I never even though of donating it. That would be really nice for a bride who can't afford a gown.
Idk what to do with it. The christening outfit is nice but idk when I'm having kids and my mom is about through with it hanging in her closet. I may try to sell it and if not, consider donating.

I have mine hanging on the door of my closet. I am not going to get it preserved. I know this is going to sound dumb but I wanted something to be made out of it and My sis-in-law is going to make throw pillows out of it.

Re: hate my wedding gown
My dress is still sitting on the floor in my parents room. Every once in a while my mom asks when I am going to do with it. My sister recently found my moms wedding dress (from 28 years ago) which my grandmother wrapped in tissue paper & put into a cardboard box & tied up. When my sister took it out of the box it still looked good. So I am thinking about doing the same.I don't think I am going to use the dress for anything in the future so I can't see spending the money of having it preserved. I rather just save it.
