I am going on a trip with 3 girlfriends for 5 days. Some people ask me how could I leave my dh???? Am I wrong for going away without him??

Re: have a question
NOPE!!! You most certainly are not wrong!
i think it's important to maintain a strong sense of self... even when in a committed relationship.
i think as long as it's a fun honest girls trip with no ill intention or behavior... it's perfectly fine. Just dont do anything you wouldnt want him to do! As long as there is trust (which is mandatory in a marriage) you are solid.
It's perfectly fine to go away without eachother on occasion. It's also fine to go out every once in a while without the spouse. GASP! So long as there is a balance... and it's not that one is ALWAYS going off doing their own thing with no concern or regard for the other.

Re: have a question
Not at all! I go for trips without my DH. It's healthy to maintain other friendships and to have a life outside of your marriage.

Of course not. Why would people even say that? Life cant revolve around each other 24/7

Re: have a question
I agree with the prior posts; it is important for you and DH to maintain your individuality throughout your marriage and to be able to do your own thing.
Go and have a great time! And yep...DH will be waiting for you when you get home!

That's nuts! It's so important to be able to do things with your friends. I'm very much looking forward to my trip in April to South Beach with my friends.
