my friends had a big co-ed barbeque/shower over the summer. it was fun. but i loved my shower :) i don't mean this in any shallow way at all, but it was a complete suprise & a special day just for me...it makes u feel like a queen i do hafta say it probably woulda been fun with DH there...and like i said..the barbeque was fun..we played volleyball & just hung out..it was a good time they didn't play shower games(to save the men of course lol - however if u can find some silly/funny co-ed games it would probably be fun) and they didn't open their gifts. hope this helps!

My gf did a co-ed cocktail BABY shower. I thought it was really nice actually. They had great apps being passed around, wine, punch etc. She didn't open gifts (she HATES that. Says it makes her feel stupid & greedy, which I kind of agree with)
It didn't hurt that it was in her parent's ridiculous 4000 sq ft penthouse condo at the Ritz Carlton though.... Kind of made the whole thing seem very... glamorous.

I wanted to have a Happy Hour shower, girls only though. My BP threw me a great shower at my sisters house instead. My DH was there, as was a friends husband and my brother, but it wasn't really co-ed. They came help set up and then stayed for the food ;)

My cousin had one ... it was at a hall, and the gifts had to be in clear paper bc there was no gift opening. It was nice .. and different .. there were shower games - but the games were co-ed (like how well do you know your husband/bf) It was almost like a mini-wedding though - thats what I didnt like abt it - but then again, Im a traditionalist when it comes to bridal showers. If it makes you happy, go for it! thats all that matters.

I have, it was all girls and was really fun. They also requested everyone wrap their gifts in clear paper or not at all and they didn't do the whole opening gifts thing. I wanted to do one, my mother was not having it.
