Have you ever driven the wrong way...

down a one way street? I just saw someone do this and it made me think of a really funny story. I was driving the wrong way down a one way street and talking on my cell phone and a cop turns down the street!

He pulls over and rolls his window down and says 'Are you aware this is a one way street and you are going the wrong way'

Me 'No I am sorry'

Cop 'well if you weren't on your cell phone you may have notcied the signs'

Me 'I'm sorry I just got my hair done and didn't know where I was going'

Cop 'your hair looks nice, but don't talk on your phone, and turn around and go the right way!'


LOL - I have had cops say the most random things to me

Nicole Ritchie did that too but she was smacked off her tits on drugs not lost.

That reminds me of the movie Planes Trains and Automobiles when they are driving the wrong way and people yell at them you're going the wrong way and Steve Martin said oh he's drunk how does he know where we are going

I have and do it all the time.
My friends live off one of those roads off the service road for the LIE and technically the service road is the only 'legal' way to get there-but there is a cross street that is all of 10 feet long (seriously 10 feet) that only goes one way....always go the wrong way.

I did once - on my way to a Phish concert in Hartford. I swear I wasn't on drugs.

I quickly realized though and made a u-turn in my 1987 Grand Marquis aka undercover cop car and took out a pole.

I did once somewhere in Jersey after a Britney Spears concert

then I almost did it again but then I realized it was a one way and I tried backing up.... not too smart!!

My best friend and I were driving the wrong way down a one way in NYC and got pulled over..

Officer: You know you were driving down a one way street

Me: yes, but I was only going ONE WAY..

well, he actually turned around and walked away and I could hear him and his partner hysterically laughing..

he totally let us go and later on we were at a bar and some guy buys us a drink.. it was the officer's PARTNER in the car with him!!! He told us that was the best story he ever heard!!

My best friend and I were driving the wrong way down a one way in NYC and got pulled over..

Officer: You know you were driving down a one way street

Me: yes, but I was only going ONE WAY..

well, he actually turned around and walked away and I could hear him and his partner hysterically laughing..

he totally let us go and later on we were at a bar and some guy buys us a drink.. it was the officer's PARTNER in the car with him!!! He told us that was the best story he ever heard!!

a couple months ago i got pulled over for talking on my cell phone when i WASNT EVEN TALKING ON MY CELL PHONE!!!!!!!!!!!!! the cop ended up letting me go - but i was nervous for a second!!

and yes i have totally driven down a one way the wrong way before!

Yea, one time I drove down the wrong way..it was a kinda major street too lol..I noticed pretty quickly and turned around fast

I'm going to say this ALL THE TIME now.

Yes, I drove the wrong way down a street in Philly that's only one way for a few hours a day on weekdays. The map said it was a 2-way. I made the turn before I finished reading the thesis printed on the street sign explaining the split hours differentiated by day of the week.

My mom used to do this all the time. We used to live on a one way street and our house was at the end of the block, so it was annoying to have to drive around the entire block to get to our house at the end. So once a cop followed her into the driveway.

Cop ' did you realize this is a one way street? '

Mom ' oh, but I live right here, this is my house '

Cop ' how long have you lived here, you never realized? '

Mom ' oh about 20 years now '

Cop just let her go with no tickets, but encouraged her not to do it again. It was really funny b/c the cop thought she just moved in.

SERIOUSLY BEST COP STORY I HAVE EVER HEARD!!!!

OMG these stories are so funny... it made me think of when I got pulled over two weeks before my wedding...
I was on my way home from my like third fitting and the dress looked HORRIBLE... so I was hysterical crying on the phone with a friend about it (Not on my headset because I'm an idiot) and I got pulled over for being on my cell.
I pull myself together as the officer walks up to car...He's like 'was the call important?' I BURST into tears and start telling him I'm getting married in two weeks, my fitting was a disaster, etc...
He's like 'Where did you get your dress?' I told him where and he tells me 'Oh, my wife got her dress done there too last year. Don't worry it will all work out. Please use your headset next time. Good luck!'
And walked away......................
