Have you ever felt the need to do a 'spring cleaning'of your friends

Have you ever felt the need to do a 'spring cleaning'of your friends

Right now I have quite a few 'friends' that are not holding up their end of the bargain.

I refuse to let loose and call them out on it, but it really is getting annoying trying to make plans when (weeks in advance) they're 'busy'.

Also, I am friends with some people that, well, quite frankly embarass me.

Anyone with me?

Luckily I don't have to do this!!! I've always been very picky with who I am friends with.....I only have a few very close friends and they all mean the world to me!!

I'm definitely with you on this one. If people start that crap I have no problem kicking them to the curb.

Christ, you read my mind. My sister is definitely gone.. She's made some bad choices. She is one of the 2 that I mentioned are embarrassing.

It's a shame when you have to distance yourself from family

In the past yes. I try to be more carefully sleective now and hope it doesn't bite me in the @ss. ***** when you have to snip ties but its that or lose your marbles so I vote for cutting em loose.

ugh yes. one of my longtime friends has been mia for so long now; we'll 'touch base' about once a month which is usually her returning my call a week later. and a few sparse emails in between.

i've known her for so long, and this is her m.o., it's just taken DH to point it out to me and give me a reality check on her. what gives? i'm like damn are people that freakin busy???? btw she doesn't work!!!!

Did that. Its unfortunate that some people cant just be happy for others. Also....I cant stand when people like to be two faced and talk behind peoples back. Its so immature. So yea.....I spring cleaned

OMG I JUST has this exact convo with my GF yesterday!

We have 2 GF's whom we would not like to invite to thigs anymore, she took the first babystep, but I am taking the huge one! I am not inviting their kids to my DD's party and I invited other mutual friends on a 'friend cruise'

We'll see how it plays out, but I am too old and have too little time to have to spend time with someone I don't have anything in common with anymore!
