Having a horrible day- DH is trying to quit smoking.
Today is the 1st day that my DH has tried to quit smoking, and he's being such a moody jerk!!!. I want him to quit SO SO bad but I can't take one more minute of this crap. I almost want him to smoke so he would just be a normal person again. Does anyone have any helpful hints on quitting smoking. He got the gum and he's taking wellburtin. There's got to be something he can do to help cut the cravings. OR.... What can I take to get through this????? haha

I remember when DH quit...it was a few years back when had only been together for about six months, but he was super moody as well. Do your best to ride it out...if you need to, take a lot of time for yourself. Go shopping, see friends, etc. Also, try to remember that his moods are because he's trying to do something that will benefit the both of you BIG TIME in the long run. Before you know it, his 'rough patch' will be over and you'll be back to normal! Stay strong and good luck!

My DH and I quit together, so you can imagine how much we liked one another for the first couple of weeks (it was like having two cats in heat locked in a closet...Not pretty).
Neither my DH nor I used any kind of stop smoking aide, but what worked best for me was to drink a lot of water and stay active.
Why don't you encourage him to take a walk with you or go for a bike ride or something...It will take his mind off it, get the endorphins flowing and even most smokers don't feel like smoking when they're exercising.
