Well we are going on our belated honeymoon in 2 weeks...we'll be in Hawaii over Christmas and New Years. Going to Maui for a week and Kauai for a week...
Anyone have any sugesstions of some cool excursions or great places to eat...
I've been reading the boards and Sansea in Maui seems to be a favorite for sushi and Lapperts seemed pretty good...
Anyone have any other suggestions for food or activities?
thanks

For activities, we went to Poipu Beach and went snorkelling. We also did a helicopter tour which was amazing (we used Will Squiers (sp) and they were great). The only thing I didn't like was that they weigh you and it's the last thing you want to do on your honeymoon is step on a scale!
THEY WEIGH YOU??? Ohh geez i've defintely gained weight after the wedding, plus i'm sure i'll be eating more on the honeymoon....a scale sounds scary!!

Re: HAWAII
Yay! You will love hawaii! In Maui, we did the bike tour down Mt. Haleakala. It was not a hard pedaling ride, but it was a very steep downhill. It was raining. But I really think it was worth it...it's certainly the only time in my like that I will have done anything like that, so I definitely reommend it! My DH was so surprised that I lasted the whole ride without getting back in the van, lol! We also went to the Old Lahaina Luau, it was awesome! In Kauai (my favorite) we actually did a lot of relaxing...it was just so eautiful! If you have a car, there are lots of little shopping places to go to. I recommend seeing the NaPali coast, but not on a raft! Unless you are a thrill seeker, there are more comfortable ways to see it (like on a catamaran)! Enjoy!

Re: HAWAII
HI Guys,
one more question on hawaii. I called last night to confirm our reservations and the concerige strongly recommended we book our excursions before we get to maui because its christmas week and they will be VERY Busy.
We are arriving at the Hyatt the evening of Dec. 22 and leaving for Kauai @ 1:00 on Dec. 27th
I was going to book the ATV trip thanks to Helenz , we are going to do the Road to Hana along with Mama's fish house thanks to futuremrsGafforio suggestion, a Lua'ua. I want to walk down front street and eat at Sansei for sushi...thanks unapearla...
is that enough to fill up our time? Should i find another activitiy like snorkeling? or kayaking?
And i wasn't sure what activity to do on Christmas Day...what do you guys suggest?

Re: HAWAII
We just got back last weekend.
I definitely recommend Zip Lining & Mud Bugging! We had a lot of fun doing both.
Unfortunately the weather wasn't very nice while we were there so we didn't get to golf or do a helicopter ride.
And it's a good time for whale watching too!

We did a helicopter tour over the big island - it was fantastic.
