Hawaii Girls???

How much was your HM and where did you go?

I want to go to Hawaii before we start TTC and am trying to figure out how much money I have to save? I know its expensive but is it 5K? 8K? 10?

Please advise? TIA!

I wish I could help but we used points and miles so my numbers wouldn't be right. We figured out we spent about $9000 total when you added up the room, food, shopping, helicopter tour, sailing trip, etc. But again that doesn't count our flights at all (except our inter-island flights) or our first hotel.

If you want to save a bit of money look into staying in what they call condos. It's basically and apartment that you rent. When FH and I went to Maui we rented from The Valley Isle resort. We paid $150 a night for a one bedroom apartment. We went to the grocery store and bought a box of pancake mix and some frozen things for breakfast and lunch so we only ate dinner out (another way to save money).
The place had a private beach and we were the only ones at the pool. And it was definitely better then staying at the Sheraton we stayed at in Kauai. We probably spent about $5k (but work paid for my airfare).
