My boss (a vet) offers $100 towards health insurance after 3 mths of employment. So I made 3 mths and she tells me that I have to go online to Healthy New York and pick a plan and she gives me a $100 check towards it. Does that seem right? Next ques, I go online and health insurance is like $600 for two people..so the Dr. will only be paying 100...I cant fork out 500 a mth thats insane! What do you girls suggest...do you think its reasonable?

Dh & i have been using healthy NY since he got laid off...it's the most reasonable insurance we could find....we were paying about $245 each...now that we are on one plan it's $580 a month...it suucks to have to pay that much...but it's good coverage...paid for a surgery i had last year so i'm not complaining!

I think its in 'the range' for health Insurance. altho my boss offers health insurance and he has a plan, its United health care (not at a group rate) its $500 a month... so maybe shop around and see what else you can find, offer to submit a bill to her if you find something cheaper.

My company offers us benefits, dental and medical and it comes to 430 for both of us, this is with the company paying a bigger % then most places. Keep looking, you may not find anything cheaper but you might come across something that works for both of you

health insurance is insain !! For my kids I pay $400 a mnth then for DH and I we pay $200 a month but with a $1000 deductible and then we pay 20% after that ! I say if you can wing it then go for it !! Its really expensive but your health is more important !!
