Hello Again!

Having gone from a very active member of this site to a very inactive member in recent months, I just want to say I hope everyone is doing well, and your hopes and dreams are becoming realities.

Congrats to all those who have made the switch to the married side, to all those who are getting ready to make a move to a new house, or new apartment, and to all those expecting a baby.

Life for us has been pretty hectic, and has been complicated by businesses who can not seem to make us, the customer, satisfied.

We're coming up on our 1st anniversary, and I've been doing a lot of walks down memory lane again lately. I've been on the road with work the past several weeks, and can't wait to settle back into our home again.

If anyone's up to it, please bring me up to date on what's new with all of you.

I guess I'll just reply here, since it's the thread specifically for that.

Thank you so much for your compliments on my pictures. I also am in desperate need of a cut and color, and will be calling our buddy Kristen TOMORROW!

Things are good here... quiet, thankfully, since I will be back to work next week. We've just been busy working on the house and yard, which I'm sure you already know is an endless project!

So sorry to hear that you are still wrestling with businesses. That is awful, and must be very trying on your patience. Hopefully the end is near!

So, what are your first anniversary plans??

How funny, JennRenee, I was planning to call the salon today to book for maybe next week, but I didn't get to it, so I will be calling tomorrow .. I hope.

I hate to admit, but our house and yard are not what I'd like. Many of my flowers didn't take off this year, and some of the hedges are getting a little out of control. Definitely an endless job. We also have our pool that hasn't been opened .. we don't know a thing about maintaining a pool, and should probably call someone to help us out with it. I think we're both in that once-bitten, twice shy mode. Because of all the on-going problems, we're afraid to call anyone else in for what we would like to have done, because we're afraid it's just going to create more headaches .. does that make sense, or are we just crazy??

As for our 1st anniversary, we're going back to Mohonk for a couple of days. Can't wait! We so need the time off together.

I know exactly what you mean .. these are a very helpful bunch of ladies .. and it's also a great place to vent when you need!

Hey Kel I am Having the EXACT same problem.... We opened our pool and now it is brown we tryed EVERYTHING . I also have weeds growing everywhere...everytime I try to clean it up they are back again....
We tried to call someone to take of our pool and they never called us back...So my husband just gave up.. be glad you did not open it.....

Wow .. I totally know what you mean about those darn weeds! In one spot that I cleared out .. the weeds seemed like they weren't coming back .. then, all of a sudden they were back in full force. It's really getting impossible to keep up with them all.

As for the pool .. does anyone know just how long a pool can go without being opened? I know .. that's a question for the pool people I plan to call .. but as you can all see, I missed making my phone calls today .. which also means I didn't get to schedule a hair cut, that I so desperately need!
