Help! I Need a Haircut!

I am having no luck in trying to schedule an appointment for a haircut where I normally go because of my work schedule .. and I desperately needed a hair cut about 2 weeks ago already!! I really don't want to go elsewhere .. but I don't know what else to do.

Can someone help me out with recommendations for a place that is open on Sundays or Saturday/Monday/Tuesday evenings.

Most Importantly:
I need someone who knows how to deal with curly hair, please.

I used to go to Bocu in Commack...Dawn Logan...she does my sister as well..and my sister has frizzy curly hair and will not go to anyone else, b/c she knows her hair...

she grew up near us...

Re: Help! I Need a Haircut!

I'll pretty much go just about anywhere for the right person!

Seriously, though .. Commack is fine .. basically western Suffolk or eastern Nassau works best for me. .. But I'll take all suggestions.

Re: Help! I Need a Haircut!

I go to Tru in St James - Brian, the owner, cuts my hair. It's a $55 haircut - he's a little quirky, but knows what he's doing. I keep my hair short...it's super thick, naturally wavy/curly - but I blow it straight/flippy. 631.584.2210

Before I moved I went to Luis Miguel in Amityville - don't know the # but I saw Luis, the owner.

Good luck!

Re: Help! I Need a Haircut!

I also have gone to my DH's aunts salon (well where she works...not owns)

Milaje in Syosset...I can't remember the guys name (I think he is the only guy there) but I really liked the cut he gave me...

Re: Help! I Need a Haircut!

I go to New Concepts by Sabastiano. He's very good. He's in Sayville. (631)-244-0933. A haircut is about $42. He does great Highlights too, if you need them

Re: Help! I Need a Haircut!

I just started going to a different salon when I moved. I go to Richard Jean on 25A in Saint James. Alexis (who has very curly hair herself) cuts my curly hair and I love the cut and she just did a fabulous job on my color, too. The haircut is about $35-40.
