Help! My friend is stuck in Mexico

So my friends went to Cabo last week. One of them didnt realize he forgot his Visa. Hes not an American citizen but he's been here since he was a little kid. Now they wont let him back in the country. He only has his license on him. Do any of you know what he can do in this situation? I thought about sending it to him via shipping but it will get to him on Monday but he has to get home.

He should go to the American Embassy in Mexico they should be able to help him. How about sending it to him FedEx next morning. It will be a ton of money but at least he will have it.

He is from Jamaica. Will the embassy still be able to help him?

I called DHL about overnight and they said the earliest they can get it to him is Monday. Do you think FedEx will be different?

Ummm i would think so, normally Fed Ex has the air shipments which are overnight.

What is his legal status exactly? Is he a visitor or a legal resident or what? That can make a difference.

ETA: you can overnite him his stuff---but sometimes depending on the customs out there it can take 2 business days instead of 1 which is why they probably told you he would get it on monday.

there is no guarantee he'd get it by tomorrow for sure cause international can be funny like that. (my office has been a UPS shipping outlet for the past 15 years so sometimes paperwork gets there in 1 day or 3 days or whatever depending on the country)

i'm surprised he forgot his 'visa' cause usually that is attached inside your passport when you are visiting from another country....so thats why i was asking about his status. sometimes if you aren't a legal resident you need special permission to leave the country if not its hard to get back in.

Don't you need a passport to go to Mexico? I'm not sure they would let him into Mexico without it...

well anyone can enter Mexico with the passport from just about any country. as i assume her friend had a jamaican passport. the problem is RE-ENTERING the U.S. without the proper documentation....thats where I imagine he's having the hard part. they won't let him board a plane unless he can show he's legally authorized to enter the US. he must have left something behind that he needs
