Help with LI Hotel Idea

We are planning a weekend long bachelorette for one of my friends for the weekend of April 30th. She wants to stay on LI friday night at a nice hotel on the water that is not too far from city (no further than port jeff), and then head into city for remainder of shenanigans.

Any recommendations, other than Danfords (which we are considering)
