HELP~in MAJOR pain after a filling

Hello ladies. Just wondering if what I'm going through has happened to any of you.

I went to a new dentist in October that was actually recommended on here...everything was great. Got a cleaning, and they recommended that I replace two bottom fillings, and one on the top.

Went in November...did the bottom fillings over with the white fillings, and it was great. Fine.

Went back in December to do the top one, and it seemed fine. I bit into a slice of pizza a few days later and there was a SHOOTING pain. Then I noticed it was really sensitive to cold. I went back...told him what was going on...he adusted the bite...still the same...went back again on Friday, adjusted the bite AGAIN...and now it seems worse. The pain is CONSTANT. I am on 800 mg of Motrin, and nothing seems to help.

Now I am reading on the web how many dentists filling with the white are not properly trained for it, and am reading many horror stories of people who are going through the same thing.

Sorry to ramble, but the pain is horrible! Has anyone had this experience? If so....how can I get relief?

Thanks for listening....

sorry I have no suggestions for the pain but I do think you should get a 2nd opinion from a different dentist

I did call another dentist and they can get me in tomorrow night. I had never heard of this happening before, but when you google it, it's scary how often it happens.....I just wondered if anyone else ever had this experience...
