GREAT friends of ours got engaged last weekend. They have been together about 2 years. Dont' live together. The girl is moving to London in January for business. The man may or may not be following her in March - they are planning for a Spring 2005 wedding. Her contract in London is for a year so I am sure at some point he will get over there to be with her. He's just waiting for work to come through on his end. She may or may not be staying after that year (she has a REALLY lucrative job so her work kind of dictates their future a bit...)
So what do we get them as an engagement gift? They are not registering right now - they dont' live together and who knows when they will....I have just NO idea and dont' really want to spend more than around $200 - any ideas?

what about GC for British Airways or Virgin Atlantic? so that they can come back and visit

Assuming they both live in NY right now...until Jan. I would get them a gift certificate for a nice romantic restaurant in the city they can use it before she leaves... I'm thinking... One if by land... Daniel... maybe...Le Bernardin (sp?)
