Shamma I am not normally a birth control pill taker but when there was a good chance my friend would visit for the wedding day I ran to the doctor to get put on. I used this patch. It is super easy and really does stay on. Since I was not already on the pill I had lots of side effects such as moodiness. I don't feel very well when on bc pills, but tons of girls love them. I used the patch for 2 months and was able to prevent my friend from coming. I am not going to continue, but only because we are going to TTC this spring. but I say try it and see how you think it.

Re: Hey ladies a question for you
I was thinking about the patch when i read it awhile ago in Glamour magazine and i saw my Dr. and she told me that the only problem is, that if it falls off and you dont relize it you are completly not protected and she also said that some people have skin irritations from it...

Mine never fell off, but I also check it when I was in the shower everyday. Still it never came off. I never had any skin irration either.

Re: Hey ladies a question for you
Thanks ladies, I am going to my Gyn on Monday, I think this might be an option for me. I have never used BCP. My GF is using it but she does not know anyone else that has or is using it, so I told her I would ask here.

I remember a thread on this, started by Yabbobay. She was just starting on it.
wow i am all over this board today -- its the first free day i've had in awhile.....been in meetings and had lots of deadlines these last few weeks. A friend of mine is on it- she likes it so far. I guess its kinda like the nicotine patch. I want to try it....i always forget to take my pill.
