HI Anna!

HI Anna!

Yes I am anxious and of course worried too- This being our first child- I have been reading tons of books...and our classes start 11/10. But still cannot imagine what it will be like. ,..

Yes, I am planning on b-feeding. Again, tons of books on the subject- some pics seem a bit- Wierd? Especially the ones with older children,,,but that's just me!
I was wondering about how long it takes for your milk to 'come in'. The midwives keep reassuring me that it will not be a problem. I asked them about formula- and free samples- but my Rob openind up his yap and said that 'most hospitals give u that stuff and if u use it it confuses the child'. Great-!!! just looking to get some type of back up just in case- and for free. oh boy!

Now with only 8 or 9 weekends looming in front of me - to get things prepared- I am starting to panic a bit. I am the type that likes to get things done early- and Rob -well- is more- laid back about these things. ARGH!!!!!!!! how was it for you guys?

Re: HI Anna!

Not a Mom yet BUT I wanted to say that you should have a back up plan to B-feeding. My SIL and a number of close friends who unable to b-freed for several reasons. It made them feel so awful and I hate to see a new Mom feel bad because she is unable to b-feed. Of course you should try it and if it works out great, but if not, do not beat yourselves up. You are only human!

I second that motion Michelle.
God Bless you whatever you choose, bottle or breast. ! The formula made nowadays is incredible for babies.

Re: HI Anna!

Phyl-

As you get closer to your due date, you will start to get all kinds of things in the mail - I have 9 or 10 cans and bottles of formula - none of which I bought all from the formula companies. They all agree that 'breast is best' but if you can't for some reason, they want to be there with their product. And yes, tell DH to keep mum when you're angling for a freebie! I'm definitely trying the BF too (I posted in the thread Anna created under parenting) but i agree with the back up plan b/c if for whatever reason it's doesn't work out, baby has to get it's meal and whatever's best for the baby is most important.

Hang in there! 8 or 9 weeks left....wow, it seems like you just told us you were pg!
