Hi! Did anyone use Sherwood and.....

HI, made an appt. to see Sherwood Triat and have seen some of there stuff at the Expo at Jericho, but just wondering if anyone had proofs or pics to post so I can check out the real deal!! I heard good things so far but want to make sure.. Also heard they were a little $$$$!

Thank you! See I'm looking for something different, i dont want that 'posed' look to everything, and they tell you that they arn't! I dont know what to do. Any suggestions for others that are more 'artsy' (good word!) ?

I used Sherwood and my pictures are great quality but not that artsy. It's the basic portrait style with a couple of different shots. Looking back I would not have gone with them. They were expensive not over the top but there were other photographers that were cheaper.

My SIL used them, and februarybride is right on the money. They seem to do a lot of 'traditional style' photos. (Which is great if that's what you want ). I was in the BP & all we did was pose ALL day!!! The pics came out pretty, but they were a fortune!!!

I used Sherwood Tri-Art. They are not cheap but you get quality and professionalism. I was very happy with my pictures. We did pose for a lot of traditional pictures but we also hired a PhotoJournalist as well. He took pictures that were not posed for and captured a lot of moments and emotions of the day. It was extra money but so well worth it. I had Micheal as the regular photographer and Dana for the photojournalism. I don't have pictures scanned yet but once they are done I promise to share.
Both men were wonderful and after the wedding dealing with them has been a pleasure. This is one of the more expensive things you will pay for with wedding things but I felt they would be my memories and I was willing to put more money into this. Sherwood was also highly recommended by Chateau Briand where I got married and as well as many brides here at LI Weddings.

I wanted a mix of traditional and artsy. That's what they showed me in the sample books so that's what I thought I would get. I didn't. Friends of ours just got married and used Wedding Group One. Their pictures are a great mix of traditional and artsy shots. I've also seen proofs from brides on this site who had great pics too without having to spend the extra $ on the photojournalist photographer.

You used Joe as your photographer, or just the initial meeting? Did you feel that your pics were very 'posed', Sorry.. i just feel like it's so formal... i hate that!!! And did you feel like they caught alot of good shots?? Sorry for all the questions.. just dont want to spend all the $$ and be disapointed!!

Hello, Joe is just in the office,very comfortable to work with in the office setting. Karen and Brian worked my wedding as the photographers.


No, all of my pics were not posed. When you go in let them know you want photojournalistsic shots. You still want a couple traditional posed shots however.
