Hi ladies!! Back from London & Amsterdam with pics!

Hi Girls! Dh and I got back on Tuesday afternoon from our trip to London and Amsterdam. We had the BEST time! London was so cool and we saw pretty much the whole city. We did the 'hop on, hop off' double decker bus tour. We went to St. Paul's Cathedral, The Tower Bridge, The Tower of London, Shakespeare's Globe Theater, Westminster Abbey and a lot more! We hung out in Trafalgar Square and Piccadilly Circus and had so much fun! On our last day in England we went to Stonehenge and that was incredible! It was an early morning tour before visiting hours, so we were able to actually go up and touch the stones. Then we went to a town called Lacock and then to Bath to see the Roman Baths. Then we flew one hour to Amsterdam. When we showed up, there were Scotsmen in kilts everywhere! It happened to be the day of a qualifying football game between Holland and Scotland, so there were 15,000 Scotsmen in town! They were so much fun and just partying and drinking everywhere! It was so amazing to experience that. They were singing and chanting and laughing and just having a great time. We saw pretty much all of Amsterdam and love it so much. We took a tour of the Red Light District that was really interesting! The food was so good, especially the ice cream! We can't wait to go back! Awesome!!! I like London, it's very beautiful. And the picture of you in the Phone Booth is funny, b/c I have a similar picture and my caption is the same 'It smelled like pee in there' lol Funny. Looks like you had a great time.

Thats funny about the phone booth! I took a pic of dh in another one and he ran out saying the same thing!

They have a pump room in a restaurant next to the Roman Bath. You can drink the water from this old pump. People used to drink a lot of it because it has over 40 minerals in it and you can taste all of them! It was weird, but we had to try it!

That trip looks amazing!! Hopefully one day we can go, not sure what the prices were. But I really want to go there. You took beautiful pictures..

Honestly the prices weren't that bad. It took me a while to research and plan it. I kept an eye on Delta and the prices of the flights kept falling. The hotel in London was a little overpriced, but it was really nice. I would probably pick something less expensive next time. The hotel in Amsterdam cost $400 less and I actually liked it better than the one in London! The shower was better and the beds were a lot more comfortable. We also went one week before peak season starts. As of April 1st, all of the prices for flights went up by about $500 and the hotels were more expensive as well. All of the tours that we did were booked and paid for in advance, so we really didn't spend that much while we were there. We like to sample the local food all day, so we never really went to a fancy restaurant. The weather wasn't that bad, it never rained for more than two minutes. It was a little cold, but we dressed for it and were fine.

I lived in London for 4 months and LOVED IT! I have seen all the sights, done the Eye, but never got to Stonehenge (it was closed back then due to foot and mouth disease or something). Anyway your pics just brought back so many good memories! Thx for sharing and glad you had fun!

Thank you! Dh and I have been home from work since the trip and all we can talk about is where to go next!! We want to save for a trip for next year. Does anyone have any MUST GO trip ideas for Europe? We would like to go somewhere for four days and then to Amsterdam for a few nights. So far we're thinking about Vienna, Berlin, Paris, Switzerland. Traveling is addicting!
