Holiday gift for DH?

Any ideas?

DH's birthday is in January so I have 2 gifts coming up soon....

I'm thinking about possibly getting him 6 months of the beer of the month club. one of my BMs got us a year of the wine of the month club and it's awesome.

I know he also wants a new keyboard, but he wants a really expensive one (doesnt know which yet, but if I went that route it would probably be a joint bday/xmas gift).

I got him a new ipod last year -- wow, can't believe that's been a year already! He just got a new laptop yesterday ...

What are you ladies thinking?

DH's b-day is 12/5 and I have no idea what to get him but I am thinking of a Blueray?? I have no idea how that is though...need to do some research!!!

They're about $300 and up depending on the brand. Thank goodness for PC Richards credit cards and no interest for two full years! Being that I'm not soo tech-savy, I'm letting Dh pick it out. Don't want to spend that much on something and it's not the one he wants.

better to get a PS3 than a bluray player. a PS3 has the same bluray player built in, and it's cheaper or the same price.... and it lets him play games too

i got DH a slingbox for last year's bday - he was throwing hints left and right.. it cost me about 200..

w/ a sling box, if you tv at home is on, you can access it from anywhere through your laptop or phone.. switch channels and what not.. FIL watched entire wimbledon championship on DH's phone..

DH's bday is in Nov, I got him tickets to a off-broadway show with a comedian we are obsessed with

ETA: DH always says he would rather DO something than HAVE something....just his style

Probably a Wii
and if he is really really good then I will consider getting him what he really wants which is a Pit.

Yes, I mentioned that to DH..he doesn't want a PS3...he has Wii and loves that. He really wants the blueray...

A PS3 *is* a bluray player. He never has to use it for games, but it works exactly the same. At the time I got DH his PS3 they were going for $200 less than bluray players! They are not any lesser quality-wise. We watch bluray movies all the time on it. I'm not sure if there are any advantages to getting a standalone bluray player -- maybe they look nicer? or they are a lot cheaper now?

probably a PS3 ... he looks at them so longingly every time we're in an electronics store.

i got him some pro football throw back jersey that he's been crying for. he already ordered it, then returned it because the 'C' was stitched slightly crooked now i have to find someplace else to order it from.
