Holiday with In-laws and not my fam

So this will be my first Christmas away from my family (in MA) and totally with my DH's family (in FL). We have always done it seperate since we started dating 8 years ago.

We leave tomorrow late and DH just got annoyed at me because my mom and brother are coming tomorrow early (they'll leave about 4 hours before we have to go to the airport) and it's 'really a horrible that they are coming'. My brother lives in CA now and I won't see him again until maybe July. And this is my moms first holiday without both her kids.

I don't understand how he doesn't realize how hard this is for me and at least be supportive and helpful. All he does is get upset and yell at me not go then since I'm being a b*tch. I am just so sad right now and he is such a jerk!

I know I'll have a Merry Christmas anyway, and I wish a very Happy Holiday to you all too!

that's tough to have your first year away from family...DH & I have been alternating families for the last 6 years now...and i'll admit i am still sad when it's the year to be away from my family!!!! Hang in there...

Im sorry This is my first christmas in Florida where I live now, away from my family in New York... Its hard
