Jess my grandmother says this is because our stomach is cold...to alleviate the pain she recommended drinking something hot...even if it was just hot water...works for me
If that does not work kick you foot into something to transfer the pain sorry I had to

Aleve or the Super Motrin-they are huge but pop 2 of them babies and woooooooooooo you are raring and ready to go...if not take a HOT shower and face the water
