Can anyone recommend a home improvement company that they know does good work from direct experience?? What's needed includes: siding repair, chimney repair, possible bathroom update.
Companies we've heard of:
King Quality - used to call us a few times a week, which we found annoying, but thankfully stopped after several requests; have also heard commercials on the radio.
Tim White - have seen ads in the Pennysaver.
Liberty Home Improvements - have seen ads in the Pennysaver.
Any advice or recommendations are greatly appreciated.

we did a lot of work downstairs and a full dormer thru Cambridge construction in bellmore and I was happy they did beautiful work
My parents use 'Northgate, Inc.' or something like that (definitely Northgate...its the street he lives on)
His name is Jeff...He's a little pricey, but does excellent work...he has done everything from crown moldings for them...to adding a 3-season room.

We used King Quality to to siding, doors and windows in the house in Selden. I must say they did a great job. No complaints at all. The best part is they clean up so well that you would never have known they were there and you don't pay them 1 cent until the job is complete and you are satisfied with it.
We also used Allure to re-do the bathroom and the job was o.k. but we probably would not use them again. We had the whole bathroom gutted and re-done and we were not really pleases with the tapr and spackle job they did, and a few little things that it took them forever to come back and take care of, still were not perfect.

Hey Kel!
Vinny (DH) works for a home improvement supplier for siding, gutters, etc. I can ask him for the name of his 'best' contractor if you're interested. Otherwise, I can just see if he's heard anything good or bad about the one's you're inquring about.
I think he's heard some bad things about Tim White, but don't quote me on that.

he just did the driveway and is going to do a new kitchen floor and extend her deck. He does everything! Plus he gave us a good price. If you call tell him Josephine Gamma sent you. He works mainly on references.

First, thanks to all those who responded .. I appreciate it.
Second, looks like this may be a bit more difficult than I originally thought. I'm getting the feeling I will need a seperate chimney company .. which is okay, I guess. But after a few phone calls .. I'm getting the impression companies do not want to bother with fixing siding .. they just want to install new siding .. the trouble is, our siding is new, from just before we purchased the house 3 years ago .. we've just noticed spots where the siding doesn't join-up properly in corners and edges, and with all the rains we've had, we're now concerned about water damage .. or potential water damage if not attended to.
Any other ideas or thoughts will again be greatly appreciated!!

Do you know the company that did the work originally? You could call them and see if they will do a fix up on their work.

No, unfortunately I don't .. I went through the folder with the previous home owner's receipts from the work they had done, and couldn't find the one for the siding .. I am going to keep looking, because I did think we had it .. but the more we get to know the house, and the more we 'see' things .. the more we really see things .. you know what I mean ... and with that .. I don't know if I'd want to do battle with a company who obviously didn't do such a great job, and who didn't even do the work for us ... especially since it's been about three years since it was originally done .. hope that makes sense.

We used Olympic Home Improvements. I found their ad in the Pennysaver but I believe they are located in Suffolk.
