Homeowners I need your help regarding utilities

What is the difference (monetarily) between steam heating and oil?

And what are the pros and cons to balanced billing for your utilities???

Any help would be great! Thanks

I've heard of steam heating - but I don't know much about it.

We have oil, and even though the prices went up, we really didn't do that bad with it... though we kept it very cold in the house

Hmm...I think steam heating is quite old. Only older homes (example, historic Huntington Village homes) have steam heat. We have gas heat.

We have steam heating. It is so much cheaper than oil. Obviously, we don't have oil deliveries and such, so we don't have to worry about the prices of oil. It gets added to our LIPA bill, since we have gas and it runs through that some how. I really don't know too much about it, but I could ask the hubby more, if you want to know more about it.

STeam heating cant help
we have gas heating and a wood stove - GREAT investment it heats the whole house in the winter
for electric we have balanced billing we pay 250.00 a month and we are 89% of the time a head so after the year if you are a head you get a credit so one bill is less
I like it because I am always paying the same amount every month. We are evetualy getting solar panels put up also another GREAT investment
