Waaaaaaaaaa!!!
We've lost out on 3 houses. I can't bear to pay 10K over asking prices. It's absurd!!
I bid 6K over ask on one yesterday (great house)... and we're second in line!! Now I'm praying that the 1st buyers get cold feet!

Hang in there Kathi. When you find 'your' house it will have been so worth the wait. I know it's frustrating, and that's why we are here to listen. : )
I never thought it would be this difficult to find a home -
we have lost out on so many homes b/c we under-bid it took us 7 months to learn if you want the home you have to go close to asking.
However, maybe some good news...
everyone has been reading different articles about prices coming down in the spring! I'm holding out to see...

I do know exactly what your going through.
There is a home out there for each of us. Keep the Faith!
We will be really starting to look in the Spring I hope things calm down a little by then.
At this moment, there are less houses out there. I think we will start to see more houses come onto the market into the Spring. Most people (eps with children) want to ideally move in the summer, in sync with the school year.
That's what everyone keeps saying, my realtor also said that there is not much inventory right now. We have really just started 'seriously' looking and it is very discouraging
