What upcoming house projects do you have? We just installed central ac.....

Next is to clean out our basement and make an office & a small tv/hangout room. The projects never end but I'm having a blast.

oooh...central air? Would you mind FMing me how much that cost? Also - did they have to rip up your walls/floor to install the vents and such?

We have never ending projcts :D

I have some really big projects in mind like remodeling the kitchen and redoing our basement...but those are major and we need to wait on those a bit until we find a really good contractor that we trust.

The most immediate project Im working on now is a custom bookshelf/storage thing in one of our rooms. I really want to get a woodworker in to put in a custom bookshelf. Unfortunetely, I havent had much luck finding anyone I like. The search continues...

And if I could ever convince my husband, I want him to put in a koi pond in our backyard...but I dont think Im going to win that battle :D

Re: house projects

Take down the crazy wallpaper in our bathroom and make it more 'spa-like'

Finish painting the banister on the stairway

Paint everywhere! The colors that are in the house are nice, but I am really convinced a blind person painted in our house! They were extemely lazy and just slapped paint on and did not tape ceilings, floor boards, etc. So we need to do some major touch-ups.

We have had our house for a year (exactly yesterday) and the projects still continue.

Kitchen- We ( I mean DH) redid the whole kitchen but we need to DO the Stainless Steel Backsplash and the molding as well as put in the French door.

Scoop: Thanks

OctBride: Ive had my house for close to 5 years and we are no where near done. Really - it never ends. By the time you are finished, you will want to start all over again b/c the first projects are now out of style or broken. hahahahha

High hats in the LR - Done
*Built in China in the DR - Soon I hope
*New Front Door - Being installed Sat (if they dont cancel again!)
*Refinish LR/DR Hallway floors -having this done next week

Re: house projects

It is neverending but I love doing something new. We just re-did our bedroom, painted it a mocha brown color since it was baby blue, yuck! Next is getting a screen door and putting new linoleum in our kitchen. It is a white now with little pink roses, who would make a kitchen floor WHITE!! You see all the dirt, ! Gary is ready to kill me with all I want to do!

Re: house projects

We are in the middle of replacing our staircase. The new staircase is installed but the raillings/banister still needs to be, then everything must get stained.

we have 2 trees coming out next week due to some posion ivy problems in the yard.

My hopefully this summer project is a 12x12 brick patio on our side yard. This fall Dad and DH will be doing some painting in the guest room, LR and at some point baby's room.

I have sooo many ideas I am sure this is our never ending project.
