I like the idea of a gift certificate..its hard to try and guess how someone decorates..I like the idea of letting them pick out something themselves!

crate & barrel have really cute things. you should check out their website.

My friend and her dh just bought a house. She loves to bake, so I sent her a few items from C&B with a cook book too.

gift certs are always nice.
I myself love plants!! but some people don't so i guess it depends on what kind of person she is.
the welcome mat is cute too!
