I'm going to a Housewarming BBQ next weekend for my cousin and his wife. They got married last year and I imagine they got most of what they need for a new place at their shower. Unfortunately, I missed the shower so I have no clue even what their style is. They had a small apartment before and I had never been there.
What's a good gift to buy a new couple moving into their first house. I did this a couple of years ago but it was before my shower and I needed everything. I want to think of something original and useful. Any ideas. The gift can be around $200 as it will be from me and my entire family.
Any ideas would help.

Housewarming Gift
Do you know where she registered? I'm sure if she was married only a year ago it will still be listed. If this doesn't work - baskets are always nice I got one filled w/ things for an outside BBQ (plastic settings with napkins ring holders, etc.) It was a shower gift that I thought was great.
I'm sure she didn't get everything she needs from her shower - I had over 60 people and still need things for the home. Good Luck.

Home Depot...
You can get a gift certificate from Home Depot and a Do-It-Yourself Home Repair Book. Since they are moving into a new home they are likely to need things like snow shovels, rakes, garden hoses, paint, etc.
I think you can get a plain, unused paint can too, and I read somewhere about someone who used that to 'wrap' the gift certificate by putting it inside and putting a bow on the handle.
