Can you give me any ideas for a housewarming present?
I was going to do a Pier one gift card and a bottle of wine... but I am open to suggestions.

I just got a serving platter with dishes for a friend whose housewarming / superbowl party we're going to on Sunday -- it looks kinda like this:
But with 3 bowls instead of 4.
The last housewarming we went to before that, I gave them a mikasa crystal bowl with hershey kisses in it (basically a candy bowl) that I got on sale at macy's.
This one:
I got it on sale around Christmastime and bought 3... I have a habit of buying gifts for the future...
Both these are items I would love to receive, which is how I like to buy gifts for others.

I think thats perfect! I would love that. I actually got alot of wine and loved it. of course i love wine so that helps but anything anyone gave me I thought was so sweet. My friend just gave me a bottle of wine called House Wine which was cute and appropriate and a reed diffuser from pottery barn! It was so nice!! My sister in law gave us Hot Sex (the liquor drink) she said she hopes we have alot of it in the new house!

being that i just moved into my own house things i would want if i had a housewarming,
a gift card to any store that sells house hold stuff
or alcohol
or a g/c to a food store!

I would bring the wine, and one of those ceramic wine chiller things. KWIM? You can put it in the freezer, and then take it out & use it to chill the wine?

I used to give the punch bowl that doubles as a cake plate. It was always a huge hit.
