did you ladies choose the pictures for your albums?!? I've been married for almost 4 months & haven't ordered my album yet. There are SO many pictures to choose from...I feel like I am losing my mind. They all start to look the same after a while. I've been making a list of the ones I like but I feel like I write down every other picture lol.
Did you have a certain method that you used? A certain formula (x amount of preparation, x amount of ceremony, etc...). I feel like
Any tips greatly appreciated!

Re: HOW
I tried to get a little of everything: me getting ready/DH getting ready, formal family shots, walking down the aisle, me and my dad, dancing with my dad, DH and his mom dancing, our first dance, cake cutting, formal shots @ the hall, a few dancing/partying shots, toasts. I also tried to make sure I had an equal number of DH and me. Tried to make sure we got all the important people in too (ex: grandma, the dog, etc.)

Re: HOW
I didn't do mine yet either Did you organize all the photos yet? I took envelopes and labeled them getting ready, just me, just DH, just me and DH, bridal party, etc. I think that's a good start. Did your photographer want you to pick the exact photos you want because mine told me to really just pick out the ones that I loved and we'll choose together the exact 100 shots. He claims it's easy, but I don't know that because like I said, I'm in the same boat

Re: HOW
Thanks for your input ladies! And yes Kris, I need to tell them exactly which photos I choose.
I love some of the inanimate object pics (i.e. rings on my shoes, invitation with rings & bo-k, etc.). Did you ladies put any of these in or did you just do people shots?

Re: HOW
How many pics are you supposed to select for the albums? I already picked mine- we got 1102 pics back and had to pick 120 pics for the Bride/groom album and 20 each for the parents albums.
I did 3 screenings...pics I 'loved'' pics I 'just liked' and pics I thought were 'ok but not super flattering.' I just kept whittling it down until got 120 pics...trust me I'm very picky about what photos I thought were album worthy!
Also i left out pics of me getting ready or toward the end of the reception. I plan to do my own album on shutterfly later on once i get the DVD from my photographer.

I got 4,000 pictures and I can only pick 60 for our album I'm not worried bout parent albums b/c I let them choose their 24 photos

This is exactly what I did.
Then when it was time to go to the photographer, we brought ALL of our pictures with us. We had the ones we chose set aside, but brought everything in case we wanted to change some (which we did end up doing).
As for 'inanimate object pics,' we used those as background pictures. You can see in my album layout that pictures of flowers, rings, champagne glasses, etc. are in the backgrounds and are overlapped by other pics.
