i think we are doing thanksgiving at my mom's house, Christmas eve at the inlaws and Christmas day at my mom's house. Of course we'll stop by Christmas morning at the in Laws.
My MIL is not picky about when she sees us on the holidays. She actually had Thanksgiving dinner the day after Thanksgiving last year.

Re: how are you dividing up holidays?
We haven't decided on this yet, and I don't look forward to it.
Even after 8 years together, this is still a topic of contention. DH's family is only him, his brother and mom so we invite them all over every year for the holidays since we have a HUGE family. MIL always refuses and sits home the three of them in utter silence while eating dinner. I usually eat two dinners because I go over and then right over the my family (they're only about 15 minutes away).
This year, I'd really just like to combine all of it.

Re: how are you dividing up holidays?
Well this year is sorta weird- my family could only get their timeshare in Myrtle Beach for week of Thanksgiving- so they're off without us! We can't do it cuz we're going away about 2 weeks before for a wedding in AZ, and it's just tough to get away with school. But it's kinda cool- that means DH & I will have our own Thanksgiving.
Christmas we'll spend with my family, and the day after Christmas we'll spend about a week with DH's family in South Carolina.

Re: how are you dividing up holidays?
i'm quite fortunate (in a way) in that my DH doesn't really involve himself with his Dad's side of the family much. its a long drawn out story, but basically they are trash and users.
so instead we are always at my parents house for the holidays - and we usually pick up his mom and she spends it with us too.

Re: how are you dividing up holidays?
DH and I have been driving back and forth spliting holidays between the two families for 8 years and we are DONE!!!
I used to spend x-mas eve at his moms and leave -xmas day from her house in LI and drive to Ct and see my family!!
NO MORE!!!
We decided since we are married now and we are each other's family that we are having holidays in our new house and who ever wants to see us can come and drive to our house
And if they don't want to drive, then they don't get to see us

Re: how are you dividing up holidays?
You are asking the wrong person b/c this has been a horrible struggle. Last year we did 3 different thanksgivings in 4 days and it was a nightmare. To avoid the holidays this year, we booked a trip to Paris over Thanksgiving
We don't celebrate Xmas, and for Passover we're going to my Mom's side of the family.
Next Thanksgiving will be with my Dad's side of the family, and the following Jewish Holidays with DH family.

Re: how are you dividing up holidays?
My DH is Jewish and I'm Catholic so the only real holiday we have an issue with is Thanksgiving... but my sister usually goes to her in-laws and my brother usually works so we have Thanksgiving with my family either the Sunday before or after so we'll do my in-laws for Thanksgiving!

I'm not really sure yet.. but I'm pretty sure we will be having Thanksgiving at our place with my mom & his parents (if they're not visiting his sister). I'm just excited to be making my very own turkey
We're still not sure whats going on for Christmas though

We dont really 'divide' holidays. My ILs are in FLorida, if we can afford to go down for a holiday we do if not we stay here.

Re: how are you dividing up holidays?
thanksgiving my parents eat a 2 PM so we go there 1st and then dh' parent's eat at 4 PM so then we go there after. they only lives 5 mins from each other so its not a hassle. then for xmas eve we go over his families house for the traditional italian fish dinner. my family doesn't do anything xmas eve so thats easy. then on xmas day we start out at my parents house then go to his family later on.
