How Bad/Stupid is this?

OK let me start by saying I am not a morning person at all--- and last week i was getting up at 5:45 almost every morning and working really late--so i was exhausted all week---
OK so this is what I need help with
I take my pill in the am and dont usually look at the day--just turn the dial and take it--well the last time I looked was I think Tues --so saturday comes and we were packing to go away for the weekend and I look at my pill pack and go Oh Sh*t-- it said Sunday--- which means at some point during the week I had taked 2 pills in one day---
Now my biggest concern-- i was ovulating on Tues/Wed and we did the BD on Monday--so of course I was concerned---but then realized at this point there was nothing I could do--
any ideas? Is this bad to take more than one? I know what to do if I miss one but have never heard of anyone being this stupid/careless---

It is perfectly ok to take two pills in one day.

I have done it a few times. you should be fine, and if you read the instructions that come with the pill, they say that is is ok as well and you do not have to use a backup method.

It is only when you miss 3 or more pills you should exercise some caution.

Well you should call your doc. just in case.

If i was in the same situation, I would continue taking one pill per day, and then just skip the one day when you're takign the 'inactive' pills, to get the cycle back to the sunday start.

Just continue taking the pills as normal.

I have been taking them so long now- I skip the inactive pills and start a new pack on the Sunday.

I have been on them for many years and I am ok.

Do not worry.

First of all..you should probably call your doc rather than listening to all of us.....

however, 2 pills is better than none...I would continue to take one a day until the cycle finishes...don't worry now about what day you are on...then when you are done...take the pill starting the following sunday like normal...however, hubby and I , since we are not in the market for any babies, always use protection during a month if I mess something up...because you can never be too safe.....

Chances of you getting pg while on the pill, and taking it as directed for many months/years is slim, yes it does happen but it is not a huge % of the time. Also, I have learned that the day 14 ovulation 'rule' is a bunch of hogwash and doesn't apply to most women. Personally I would take my pills normally at this point, adding a second now if you are pg is not going to help in anyway. You can call your doctor and double check with him/her to ask what you should do, of course, since they know your medical history.
Try not to panic though.
