my mom goes to DH's aunt to get her nails done...lol...not sure if thats really developing a relationship ???

Yeah, I'm really lucky too. Any time my mom comes into town, I invite MIL over too, and they get along great. My MIL is always trying to plan stuff to get my mom to come over. I really love it!!!!

THat's awesome! When my in-laws came to NY to visit before the wedding to check out the area my parents and DH's parents all went to dinner and to see My Big Fat Greek Wedding! Nothing like your parent's double dating!

That's so nice ... !
Although, I have to admit that my mom and my MIL are friendly and sometimes get together to shop, do lunch, or just have tea. Rob and I are not crazy about the idea, because we are afraid of friction between them or 'blaming' - for instance, when Rob was mad at his mother for something, she told my mom that she thought I was the one who might of said something, so my mom immediately went on the defense.
Oh well ... I'm sure your in-laws are not as crazy as mine!
